here's the whole story...3 dogs were let outside late on Wednesday at 11:00pm -- they were out only 5 minutes and we realised they were gone! One dog returned 5 minutes later, another dog came back at 4 am.
Maybin was seen by someone on Foster Road heading east toward Dixie Hwy early Thursday morning (as reported by a Ember, a tech that works with Dr Pam Smith, her Mom nearby and her doctor saw the dog!!!)
Next report is Maybin was seen in Clarkston and he was hit by a truck at 6:15 Thursday morning. This is 4 miles from my house and about 1.5 miles from the Foster Road. A nice lady named Amber helped him -- he seemed ok and not seriously hurt but she took him to a vet -- I think one in Waterford or Holly. He had xrays and was fine. The scanned and found his microchip number. There was some problem that I don't know all the details about -- but the microchip report was due back today. Amber lives in Pontiac and she has a friend who lives in Clarkston and then Maybin stayed with Tim from Holly. Maybin had a bath, slept in the bed and hug out with an 18 month old girl. Today he went to a tractor pull in Whitemore lake.
I put up 30 signs in Clarkston today ..including at the Starbucks in Clarston ....minutes after I left there I got several calls because people had seen a sign for a "'Found Lab" by the Outback Steak house. After a few phone calls - I met Maybin at the Mobile station at Holly exit on I-75 . He is perfect - happy. Ok a little subdued for Maybin. He hasn't been eating well -- reportedly he did not try to eat the Salmon that fell on the floor in front of him. Hmm, not like Maybin. he was eating biscuits and he is doing well -- and looked just great!
So after being close to a tear break down at about 10:30... I had one after we found him!!! Then we drove to the Oakland Co Fair to meet with Mike who was going to help hunt for him after the show! We decided to show him anyway -- since he was all happy and eager. Plus he was clean and bathed.
Small show -- and Maybin won Winner's Dog -- giving him his 9th point.
Crazy day, crazy story.
